Cramolin paste works real good.

Been away for a while as it's winter and if I think too much about the motorcycle during the winter I would go nuts! Anyway, I had some problems with the ignition switch on my 83 650 last summer. Pulled it out and cleaned up the contact points and that seemed to do the trick for the most part. However, it still seemed a bit reluctant at times. Anyone had to go through theirs before? I am wondering what I can do to keep it decent. I think a new one was around $160.00 and I would like to avoid that. I was thinking of using some dielectric grease on the underside so it rotates cleanly and springs OK. Can I use a light oil on the contact points to keep them from corroding, or would that screw it up? Any ideas from past experience would be greatly appreciated. Really don't want to replace it but I don't want to end up pushing the bike again (at least not from that problem!). Thanks!
