If you look here, Honda / CB650sc you'll see the curved end goes down.

I do what I'm told mister...at least most of the time. If the Old Wrench says
to degree in the cams, then I attempt to do so. I do have a dremel at least.
I'm creative when I have to be. Another question: it's bee awhile since I
disassembled my top end. Please see attached photo. I forgot which end of the
chain slider drops into the engine and I don't want to put it on backwards. I
think it was the curved end...just let me know as the pictures in the book
suck. HotrodMamma.

Did I miss something here ? You are going to degree in the cams ? If so; you
need a degree wheel (mine's an old Isky for automotive), a metric dial gauge
and holder, and some creativity plus much patience and a Dremel. I can instruct
as you go.

Well, turns out that I don't have a cam degree kit in all of my junk. What does
anyone recommend? There is a Comp Cams degree kit on flea-bay but it's for cars
and I don't know if there is a difference for a motorcycle application. Please
let me know on this one. I'm going to go do all of the other stuff on my bike
today and wait for the answer on the degree kit. Thanks all! HotrodMamma.
