I attended a funeral service for a friend at a UU.. As something of a
fundamentalist, it just creeped me out big time. On many fronts.

uu is unitarian universalist... we are not Christian, but do hold many Christan
beliefs... but its always a personal call... kinda confusing to explain, but it
boils down to our 7 principals and "deeds not creeds".. and that that means is
do what is right because its right, not because of the heavenly rewards..

there are some UUs that believe more Jewish beliefs, and some more Christian,
some pagan, some Buddhist, some humanest, and some agnostic... but its all
about being accepting and open minded...

the 7 principals are as follows...
        * The inherent worth and dignity of every person;
        * Justice, equity and compassion in human relations;
        * Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in
our congregations;
        * A free and responsible search for truth and meaning;
        * The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within
our congregations and in society at large;
        * The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all;
        * Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a
part.

i hope that i dont come across as preachy... i dislike when people preach to me

thanks
paul

Very true; but so was King David. The proof of God's forgiveness is in David's
