I had a BMW that warped two front rotors. I'm sure it was because I was pulling a trailer and had the wife on back with the bike really loaded for a long haul trip. Heres how to check the front rotor. Raise the bike so the front wheel spins freely off the ground. Take a flair tip pen and either hold in with in about 32 tho. of the rotor ,or tape the pen to one front fork leg so the pin is stationary still at arounsd 32 tho. Now slowly spin the front wheel and see if the pen makes a mark on part of the rotor, but not all of the rotor. If there is no mark then the rotor is running true, if there is a mark on just part of the rotor, then the rotor is warped. Also check that caliper pistons are not stuck, and in the manual there is a correct sequence fot tightening the front axle so the wheel and rotor run true. Clymer makes a easy to understand shop manual for some of the Nighthawks if you don"t have one get one, it will really help with how to tighten that front axle correctly, and of corse many other maintaince things. Good Luck Hondo 60.
