I put it into hibernation just before Christmas. Then, it wouldn't
start either, which at the time I attributed to the freezing
temperatures (I'm in the Netherlands). I had it picked up by the guy
who runs my motorcycle storage place, and he supposedly then
winterized it. However when I wanted to start riding again last month
it still wouldn't start. Sparks are good, starter works fine, but the
engine just wouldn't fire up. The mechanic eventually got it running
by spraying brake cleaner into the cylinder and carbs, after which I
took it for a ride and everything seemed fine... my current theory is
that when the mechanic winterized it, he used fuel stabilizer but
failed to run the engine afterwards, leaving the bike with dirty carbs
and cylinders over winter. On the other hand, this bike never started
easily anyway. Any competing theories?
