I used carb cleaner on mine..cleans and dries quickly with no residue left on the pads. Brake fluid is like oil. It will leave your brake pads slippery which means NO brakes at all. HotrodMamma.

I am also rideing a 1991 CB 750 Nighthawk. This is my 2nd Nighthawk, the first was a CB 450 that I wish I had never sold, such a good little bike. I picked up this 750 this winter with only 7,000 miles on it. It's a fun bike to ride and I think I am really going to enjoy it. by the way looking for a used centerstand for it if anyone knows of one. I,ll through my two cents in every now and then.
