Hey Nathan, I ride an 85 CB750SC and at one point my idle speed was up
at 1300-1350 rpm.
What was most disconcerting for me was how hard it clunked into 1st
gear from neutral at that idle speed.
Now with idle set to 1000rpm that clunk is gone. I never have had any
charging problems, but I think the
best thing you can do would be to follow what Dale advised and gho
with the battery tender setup.
