The parked ones are in P.G. County MD, they actualy belong to my father and 
were both of my folks favorite bikes ever, right mix to fuel econemy, power, 
reliablity, and agility.... But i know they will need work

and for your bike can you check compression???

Greenzero thank you, I'll check out the Rebel for her.  What state are
the 5 parked ones in?

On my bike, it's still not running.  I replaced the spark plugs (NGK
D8EA, gap to .026).  The bike started immediately ran for 10 seconds
and died.  Best I could do then was about 5 seconds of cylinders 3 and
4, only. And that was only with the choke off and the throttle wide
open.

I pulled the plug on cylinder 1 and the smell of gas was strong.
There was also some smoke coming out of the cylinder.

I didn't think to check to see if it was sparking, I'll do that
tonight.  Any other suggetions?
