Ashley,
As an owner of a 82 450 Nighthawk - I can tell you that the
chain is supposed to be just slightly looser than you would think.
More chain failures are caused by over tight chains that under.
(Obviously if its flopping around loose, thats too loose) I found the
original Honda manual on eBay and frankly, it had everything I needed
to ride my 450 in it.
Now, if you're going to be doing a rebuilt on it, a Clymer /
Haynes might be a good idea.
Just my thoughts!
