Dave,
I think thats a KG thing - my KG rack was a NOS item someone
had lying around and the mounting holes slide in and out as well. You
lock them with a hex key. I am wondering if they simply made a rack
that would fit most any bike of a certain size then provided different
hardware / spacers to fit specific models.
