In my case, I took the seat off, took it to a local upholsterer
familiar with boat covers, ATV seats and who rides a Victory cruiser
and for a very reasonable amount of money had him recover it for me.
At the same time I had him re contour the seat slightly - my legs used
to splay out causing me to always have to lean on one foot. With the
seat narrowed just a bit my legs are much straighter as they go to the
ground, I can now have both feet at least half on the ground at the
same time.
