I'm sure mine's not leather but it's good grade whatever it is - vinyl.

Javier,
I can't speak for Graham - but - I didn't get leather, that
might be the difference.

Wow!, I asked around here and they want $150 for a similar job,

want new leather instead. Perhaps I need to pay you another visit

Good idea Joey, I just found a guy less than 3 miles away who
took one of
my CB650SC seats and reupholstered it and added a little more
padding, did a
terrific job, for $45

In my case, I took the seat off, took it to a local upholsterer
familiar with boat covers, ATV seats and who rides a Victory

and for a very reasonable amount of money had him recover it for
me.
At the same time I had him re contour the seat slightly - my
legs used
to splay out causing me to always have to lean on one foot. With
the
seat narrowed just a bit my legs are much straighter as they go
to the
ground, I can now have both feet at least half on the ground at the
same time.

Great suggestions, but I left out a somewhat important detail: My
seat has a crack (cosmetic) in one of the seams. So I'd like
to make
her look good, but also a bit more comfortable in the process.
Black
duct tape works...but...it feels disrespectful to the bike.
That's
why I haven't seriously considered a seat cover. So a related
question: how do you repair the leather/vinyl cracks???

I have a buddy who swears by wearing bicycle shorts on long

I like the corbin on my '02 750 too even though it is hard,

because I like the riding position, and I can stick the gel

Sorry I was late into the discussion. Yes, the link Graham has
posted is the place that make them. I think at the end I got a
better price for the same product atmotorcyclesuperstore.com
(as I
remember, the actual price is the same, but this place
gives free
shipping for orders over $75).
My experience with the Corbin in my '96 750 is that I
really like
the riding position, but it is much more harder than the
stock.

Rusty, I just put a corbin seat on my '85 CB650SC. It
looks real
great but
is like an ergonomically wrapped brick. However I put a gel
cushion on it -
which brings it back up closer to the original height of
the Honda
seat and
it is real comfortable. The gel cushion just sits on the
seat,

Hi, all.
I've recently taken a trip on my 1983 CB650SC from Detrot to
Nashville
and back. It was truly a fantastic ride. With one
exception: My
bike is stock...including the leather wrapped brick that
Honda calls
a
"seat."
I'm now interested in buying a used seat, Corbin or other
brand,
that
is more ergonomically shaped for a human butt.
If anybody has suggestions on where to shop, or who to
contact,
please
let me know. I absolutely love this bike.
Thanks,
Rusty
