$150 seems like a good price to me for custom work. Typically just a vinyl seat cover that you install yourself is around $75. Boat shops would probably have the good vinyl as opposed to car upolstery shops. a typical restoration by sargent would cost about $300 and that's vinyl. Here are some links i quickly found.
