I did 510 last summer on a 82 650 with a stock seat. My butt wasn't sore at all. The course included 2 mountain passes (North Cascades and then White Pass in Washington State). It was raining very hard for the first 100 miles, windy as heck down the eastern part of the state (150 miles). The hardest part was the last 100 miles on I5 with what seemed like 1,000 trucks and motor-homes.
I'd do it again tomorrow.
