UPDATE!! I pulled The battery out of it's case and low and behold, the
negitive trminal is broken. one side of the terminal is split from the
rest.....I now need to find a replacement. oh well.

The battery box is a tight fit and I think when I pushed the battery back
into the box I pushed to hard and cracked the terminal.
