You got it! "Screw in here" is the place. You will need to establish a
working fuel supply when you disconnect the vacuum hose from the fuel petcock,
which will close without vacuum present.

Google "carb sync Honda" for more than you ever wanted to
know........................ (About 149,000 results (0.31 seconds)

Subject: [Nighthawk Lovers] '83 CB550SC Carb Sync Question

  Hi guys,
Well, my bike has come along way since I got it. It's more than rideable now,
but my carbs are running rich and out of sync. I posted an ad on Craigslist to
rent a set of sync gauges locally and to my surprise an old high school teacher
responded!

So here is my question: I have a decent idea of what I'm doing, I've got the
gauges, all I need to know now is where are the holes that I screw in the tubes
that give the gauges their readings? I think I may have found them (see
picture) but the hole on the #2 (which I've learned is set to factory so you
can tune the others to it) has a tube coming off of the petcock going into it.
(See picture). A) Are these the correct holes and B) if so, do I remove that
line when syncing? I'd imagine I would but wanted to ask first.

  Thanks for any help!

  Sean
