I have a little hands-on composites experience, and might look to setting up the vacuum bagging setup needed to reproduce some of these body panels out of CF and honeycomb if there's interest... I'm planning to do this next summer for my own '93, at least. I need to find a good set to copy, first.
CF and honeycomb panels wouldn't be cheap, but I have a couple improvements for the stems and tabs to incorporate. Throw in the ability to dye the outer layers of CF in one of the basic colours and the improved durability over 20-30 year old plastics and I feel they'd be worth the ~$150-200 a pair it would probably cost (CF, honeycomb core, dye, surface hardened/polished). If one just wanted to paint them like stock, I suppose standard fiberglass mesh could be used instead, and would give you a very nice, smooth, paintable surface for a little reduction of cost. -Kurt.
