1 word: rainsuit.... I have Frogg Toggs (eBay around $80) - They'reGortex that are supposed to breath. They have kept me dry many a day riding home in major rain in Hawaii. Only problem is they're kind of warm in a tropical climate so I sweat a bit but it's better than being soaked to the skin.
