Well, okay, it works... sorta.

I was taking the pedal off to see if I couldn't take some more of the
bend out of it from it's first layover (I finally had enough spare
time to think about that), and though I tried to keep things from
snapping when I relieved that tension, no go. The linkage sprang out
of my hand, and "bottomed out" in the fully relaxed position.

All the pieces still seem to be there, and I was careful to re-index
the splined shaft when I reinstalled the pedal, but I now have
super-weak feel and the brake light no longer comes on with the pedal.
I can still apply /some/ pressure through the pedal, but it doesn't
return to fully up position against the stop anymore either. The feel
is vague, too.

Does this sound like I'm missing pieces, or maybe a spring sprang off
it's seat when the linkage got out of hand? It seems to all be there,
still, but my manual is MIA (what a PITA, I have to find another
one... then this one will show up! Ragh!).

Any pointers?
