Hello There, Yup! got the engine going.
Spark plugs cleaned, Carbs cleaned, air cleaner ..err..cleaned, tank cleaned out, petrol cock cleaned, rigged up a battery from my Triumph and after checking the electrics, the engine turing over without spark plugs/ compression and a squirt of oil down each barrel. The oil nail started out on the 4th attempt. It spat out thick smoke, rust powder, rust and also a small lizard. So there you have it - one little animal was injured during the start up process!
