If this guy used to live in AZ then it is the same PO I've spent hours and hours cussing on my 650. The ignition switch removed and a Yamaha ignition switch down below the right sidecover sound like his MO. Only on my bike the starter button had had all for wires CUT and it was started using a screwdriver across the relay.
