I don't have any knowledge of the specific bike in question - but - a few things to keep in mind: Motorcycle batteries notoriously last only a season or two - it is unusual to have one last longer than 5 - consider replacing the battery, even if it looks good. Spark plugs - even if they work, before you put it on the road, put in new plugs. One less thing you don't need to worry about fixing on the side of the road. Fuses - this suggestion actually came from someone on this board - consider replacing all the fuses as this may fix electrical gremlins before they start I've had personal experience with fuses testing ok, but not actually working. Tires - your life literally depends on your tires - don't take chances - replace them BEFORE they wear out. Remember that you're the rider - if you aren't comfortable on the bike or with something the bike is doing, change or fix it. If getting on or riding the bike puts you in physical pain (Why I'm trying to get upgraded from my 450 currently) it will affect not only how you enjoy riding, but how well you pay attention while you are riding and the difference can be a life or death situation. You want the bike to function as a part of your body, not something you're fighting all the time. -Joey
