Whatever replacement tank you get, take it somewhere that does a good steam cleaning (Radiator shop, perhaps?) and have them give it a go before you line it. That will get accumulated crud, rust flakes and other not-fuel jet clogging Stuff out of the tank and give you a good surface for your lining of choice.
You don't want a place that does a dip treatment for cleaning, as it won't get you much agitation inside the tank; a good independent car shop, especially one that specialises in older cars, should know where you can go to get a gas tank cleaned. THEN you can clean your carburetors, clean/rebuild your petcock, and hopefully be good to go. :D -Kurt On Wed, Mar 16, 2011 at 7:15 PM, Kyle Munz <[email protected]> wrote: > You're best bet might be eBay.
