The tires, battery & turn signal are what need replaced for inspection.
Everything else is clean.
I think I'm going to pass on it.
The main reason is I don't have anywhere flat to park.
I can already picture it falling over, breaking off the turn signals & levers.
Then having to find someone to help pick it up.

Well all the things your mentioned are mostly cosmetic. How is the mechanical shape of the bike? We all know that 24K miles is nothing for these bikes. I think if engine, transmission and suspension (including forks) are fine, then it might be a good deal. How much do you need to make it road ready, except the paint?--Javier.On Sat, Mar 19, 2011 at 5:03 PM, <[email protected]> wrote:Overall it was in decent shape, compared to my war torn 550
had a sissy bar/rack
Kelly Blue book is $1765
The negatives:
The tank has a small ding & about a 5" faded eagle sticker on the top.
Needs tires & battery
Rattle-can painted fenders & side plates.
Torn seat
A broken rear turn-signal stem
broken mirror.
Not sure what they weigh, but it seemed a lot heavier than my 550.
Was wondering if it would be worth the investment.
I don't see myself getting a car anytime soon with increasing gas prices.
I figure a newer/larger model would be less fatigue on long trips.
