Javier,
It was on the center stand and it just tossed it. They said that the ground moved so fast that the layers separated as it dropped and then slapped together again on the rise. I can believe it given that something like 30% of all the buildings in the downtown core are scheduled to be taken down. We had a 5.1 jolt last night which was a biggy. Maybe I should just lay the bikes down each night when I go to bed, eh? Think of all the exercise I'd have righting them each morning. No body would be kicking sand in my face at the beach after that! Dennis G. I think I'm going to pass on it. The main reason is I don't have anywhere flat to park. I can already picture it falling over, breaking off the turn signals & levers. Then having to find someone to help pick it up. -Bernie Mar 19, 2011 06:12:22 PM, [email protected] wrote: Well all the things your mentioned are mostly cosmetic. How is the mechanical shape of the bike? We all know that 24K miles is nothing for these bikes. I think if engine, transmission and suspension (including forks) are fine, then it might be a good deal. How much do you need to make it road ready, except the paint? Javier. Needs tires & battery Rattle-can painted fenders & side plates. Torn seat A broken rear turn-signal stem broken mirror. Not sure what they weigh, but it seemed a lot heavier than my 550. Was wondering if it would be worth the investment. I don't see myself getting a car anytime soon with increasing gas prices. I figure a newer/larger model would be less fatigue on long trips. -Bernie -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Nighthawk Motorcycle Lovers!" group.
