All I've done is apply compressed air to clean it.

Hey Jim, welcome.

If you aren't absolutely dead set on a stock filter element, you can always try looking for an aftermarket element, like a UNI or K&N filter. Friend of mine picked up a UNI replacement from Bikebandit.com for ~$20 or so for his 83 650, so hopefully there would be one out there to fit your bike.

Hi, I just joined the group. I have an 86 CB450SC Nighthawk, which I am currently restoring.  I'm looking to find a new air filter element, but I'm hitting dead ends everywhere I look.  The part number is 17211-MC9-741.  It seems Honda isn't making or holding anymore of these, and I'm stumped about what to do if I can't find one.

Any help appreciated!

Jim
