Yes it is the Grandpappy. To get a wider tire under it, as the stock tires are tiny. It is fairly common on those bikes to put a full front and rear suspension from a GSXR on it so that you can actually slow that thing down. While they were fairly agile bikes in their day they are a pig by today's standards. A suspension swap will make it handle like a new bike.

Pardon me - but why would you need or want to swap the
swing arm? It looks perfectly good where it is :-)
Am I correct in assuming that this bike is the grandfather
(great grandfather?) of the modern GSXRs? Certainly goes like it!
