look into pelican boxes. There kinda spendy, but very well worth it... Its the 
only thing i trust to cary my electronics on the bike and even more so in the 
dinghy

When I get this GS-1000 on the road one of the things I'll be looking
to get is a water resistant bag I can put on the passengers seat
(attached to the backrest) which I can haul computers and other things
in.
