My 650 has some of that 'super putty' around where one of the oil lines goes in 
the back of the engine (between cylinders1&2). I've never investigated as to 
whether the banjo bolt, the line, or the block itself is what's cracked, but it 
does 'weep' oil into the little galley next to the starter. It was like that 
when I got the bike, and I just keep an eye on the oil level, and try to wipe 
up in there from time to time.
