I've had my NH for over 4 years. We have went from Evansville, In
to NW, Ill, to Marshalltown, IA, to Rochester, Minn, to Millwaukee,
WS, to Chicago, to Evansville, In, then a few more trips to Chicage &
back to Evansvill, Ill. ALL of this in the WINTER!!!. The NightHawk
and I rode in the Rain, Sleet, Snow, Freezing Rain, and as cold as
-50!!! All total, I've put over 100,000 miles on this bile. Hard
Miles gentleman, for a Motorcycle to last under me, is no small feat,
I ride a Motorcycle like I stole it, always have. Bar None, the
Nighthawk is the BEST bike Ever made!!
But, even my NightHawk can break. The timing chain has been
rattleing for about 2 months and I have not done anything about it,
except ride it even harder. Now I have to do something about it, It
stopped on me, I was doing 80 mph, & being hit with wind gusts that
wouls slow me about 15 mph, well it stopped, it turns over, has spark
and gas, so I am assuming it jumped time, or the like. I have another
650 motor with the top end off, I am going to attempt to put it to
back together & get it running. It was running when it was taken
apart, the owner had ALLOT of Energy on his hands and decided to take
his bike apart, then couldnt put it back together, well I hope I can.
I have already replaced the transmission in the motor that is
still on the bike. That went perfect, except for 1 broken bolt, had it
taken care of at a local maching shop. I did all the rest myself, by
myself. Took it apart in the back bedroom of 1 house and put it back
together in the Garage of another place.
I do not have a manual, can't afford one, all I have is parts
cataloge pics. CAn anyone provide me with the Torque Specs., Hot to
get cams timed right?

All Information is helpfull, Thanks All!!
