Just an observation: Perhaps the engine is not running hotter, but instead the fairing is funneling the engine heated air across your legs/body in a more concentrated fashion, and although the engine is cooling the same, you are not??

While I'm not sure I like the look of a full fairing, its in excellent shape so not sure I want to cut and run. The previous owner had the wings off so increase the airflow accross the motor, but even without them it seems to run quite hot, especially on a hot summer day. Has anyone else experienced this? Do you feel I'd be better off purchaing the original headlamp assembly, turn signals and possibly a windshield? I realize that much of this is subjective, so your opinions are welcomed.
