@jason i believe that you just planed poorly. yes durring the fires theres going to be lots of smoke. gnats cant keep up when your moving (and the off bug fans work great on them when your stoped), sunburn and long runs just need a little planning. as far as the cops go, all you have to do is nothing wrong and you have nothing to worry about... long distance riding can be awsome, but you do have to plan it a little... and having the right epqupment (goldwing, leathers, extra fuel, snacks, WATER, sunblock) goes a LONG way...
