I did them both yesterday - the Carb Washer Mod and Uni (oiled)
Filter. Like Allen said, doesn't make the 750NH into a sport bike,
but definitely notice that it's breathing better and lot more
responsive on the freeway this morning. So glad it did it.

Something to note: Because I'm in California I believe there's
additional smog emissions equipment that has to be dealt with when
removing the tank and accessing the carb tops. Not sure about others,
but I had to un-do and move away for access - the smog (canister or
something), and the throttle cable and returns are also screwed-down
to one set of #3 carb top screws (and those two screws are longer than
all others). There's also a tank breather-tube (on tank, not petcock)
that I had to remove in order to move the tank at all. Probably took
me an additional 45 minutes - mostly because I was taking my time and
keeping track of what I did, so I can undo it easier.

Thanks to surfswab (Ron) for the push, Allen for the extra tips, and
Javier for his encouragement. I would do it all again - the
difference is noticeable to me.

Eric
