First, I've not done this, only read about it when I was contemplating an engine removal project.
I'm afraid it's too late to do it "smoothly with the least amount of grief." Problem is the bolts are of varying lengths mount-to-mount, even within the same mount, and maybe even side to side. The easiest way would have been to draw sketches of the mounts on a piece of cardboard, showing the shape of the mount, its location on the frame and the location of each hole in each particular mount. Then cut an "x" in each bolt hole location and push the correpsonding bolt into that "x" as it was removed on disassembly. That method would have produced a handy "map" for reassembly. You can probly still do that with trial and error dry-fitting of each bolt into the holes on the engine block, using caution not to get too frisky and strip threads in the process. I'd use a lubricant like WD40 and go finger-tight only. Too-long bolts should be easy enough to identify, since they'd bottom out early. The shorter ones would be more problematic.
