Is that mostly true for carburetor parts? The K&L petcock valve rebuild kit fit quite well, seemed good quality.

I tend to be conservative, though, when it comes to rubber parts, ordering OEM wear items individually rather than kits whenever I have the cash. Have heard some negatives about sloppy fit of aftermarket kit-based carb float valves, for instance.
