I'll check them but I've never had a problem like that on any of the
numerous 454's I've had, This one is about the quietest one as far
as engine noise and valves I've ever had. It's only done 12k miles.
Still it sat for over a year so there may be light rust on the
valves. I'll check compression, Graham

It has new air filters, new oil and plugs. It wasn't running when I
