Having held my peace like what seems forever, I now speak up. It would seem noone mentioned motorcycle specific Amsoil: no friction modifiers and several formulas for different bike applications. I use it in my ACE Shadow, my Nighthawks (250, 450) and my wife's 250 Rebel. It doesn't NEED To be changed as often,ESP on the Shadow. Because Amsoil also has a long life filter for the Shadow,which has over 45,000 miles and is still going strong, it's not necessary. Rotella is a good oil, but even Mobil is better. Just look at the wear tests: Mobil consistently comes in second to Amsoil. Only seldom does any other supplant Mobil. But I choose Amsoil because it's specifically formulated for wet clutch operation in motorcycles with maximum lubricant protection. No clutch drag on first start in the morning.
