Goldwings are big bikes with big engines, so I would not consider 50k miles to be a lot on one of those. I was told something similar to Allen's statement my I goldwing fanatic, he said "with old Goldwings I would rather buy one in good condition with a lot of miles than one that has low miles but been in storage for years". Although there are several Goldwing owners here (including myself), if you are seriously consider getting one I would recommend you stop by their forums, read what they said and ask around to the experts.
