<What's the other mounting style? Genuinely curious>

Seriously?  That'd be the alpha dog style -- sidling up with a knee
raised (like a mutt approaching a fire hydrant) and throwing your
whole leg over.  Hard to do with a bag on the seat unless you're a
kick boxer or a ballerina (!)
