Allen, I figured as much my friend. I just want to add this bike has an extremely strong frame so no need to worry about buckling on you in high speed turns unlike some bikes eeeeek. I thought... but I took it down to have a few different experienced race bike builders/welders look at it to be sure since my life depended on it. They said in their professional opinion Honda did a great job supporting this frame. The plate supports between the rear shocks are very adequate for racing under 140MPH and suspension is my biggest setback. The rear section 7" past the shocks is non-load baring unless you have a passenger so it is harmless to cut off and add a solo seat. Avon AM26 look like great tires... I may just give them a try if I don't find a nice sticky set of "old school" tires.

It wasn't meant derogatory at all. After all this a Nighthawk lovers list, and I do love them. My point was that the Avon tires have enough dry grip to take you to the edge of the frames limit, and more grip than any sane person would need. I am going to ignore your need more bike comment because I love this bike too much! I have 6 bikes anyway lol... Like I said this is my second 750 I have made into a racer so I know what to expect and what I need to improve on. This motorcycle for sport riding (with the proper setup) is one of the most fun bikes i've ever owned. I liked the feedback I got running Michelin pilot power tires but they look so modern. I'll post some photos of my first 750 Nighthawk... most have seen it already years ago but I'll post again anyway. 1992 HONDA CB750 Nighthawk 2005 SUZUKI GSX-R1000 1992 SUZUKI GSX-R750 Slingshot 2008 KAWASAKI EX250R Ninja 2001 KTM LC4 640 Duke II 1978 HONDA CT90 7 bikes including my 6th gen VFR (Yamaha PW50!!)
