Ron and all,
I've noticed that the more I ride it seems like I have a split
motorcycle personality - I often ride to work, getting groceries, errands
etc - generally short rides, often in traffic, where a bike like the GS1000
excels (fast off the line, harder on the top end) but the long distance day
/ weekend / week long cruises I'd like to do require something much easier
on the rider. However, if I bought a GoldWing (particularly a full dress
one) I think I'd find that using it around town would be annoying - heavy,
slow acceleration, relatively quiet.
Now granted, I've owned two bikes and ridden two more for day
rides (both HDs - both owned by my Dad) so that isn't an experience based
comment.
Am I far off?
