I've had this happen to me before. I have no clue why it does it. Usually happens when the bike is cold or it's really cold out, and I've never had it continue doing it for more than two or three attempts.
Not sure what to tell you; you've already checked the kickstand and clutch switches, you said, so I'm not sure what else would trigger a shut off like that.
