I find them reasonably reliable for "stock replacement" sorts of parts, like levers, seals, springs... I think the issue comes up when you delve into the truly aftermarket.
One thing I've definitely noticed is that the charts are rarely "complete" in that they don't list all the bikes a part may fit.
