I know exactly what you mean, an engineer from our Richmond office came by a few weeks ago, and commented about my "scooter". I asked him the same question I ask a lot of HD riders. "Where's Yours?". It's sad really, a lot of them spend from $12,000 - $30,000 for a bike that they don't want to get dirty or wet. then have a picture of it on their desk to show off because they will never ride it to town... I love to ride, I missed 20 years of motorcycling, now I'm not missing a single nice riding day if I can help it. I might buy a nicer bike or as some call it a show bike, but I won't buy something just to park it in my garage to collect dust, I think it's rather wasteful. One of the other guys at work commented that he was looking at a Harley when he got out of the Navy, but that he had kids instead. Yeah well, I have kids too, they rather like seeing me on my bike, they like to go for rides too. I don't quite understand that whole, can't have a bike and kids thing, but I guess that's me. I'm more of a you shouldn't have wife, kids and a girlfriend kinda guy, but there a lot of reasons for that... LOL
P.S. Perhaps you should ask them where their bike is, and if its in the shop again? Hey you know the difference between a Harley and a Hoover? The position of the dirtbag... ha ha ha, sorry had to do it, no offense I hope, its an oldie anyway I'm sure most of you have heard it already.. -----Original Message----- From: Mike Erickson <[email protected]> To: nighthawk_lovers <[email protected]> Sent: Wed, May 16, 2012 7:32 pm Subject: [Nighthawk Lovers] Sick and tired! Sorry in advance but I need to vent and hope you guys will understand! I'm sick and tired of all of the Harley Davidson owners that think and act like they are better than the people who own and ride Metric bikes. I have two guys here at work that are relentless at being jerks. They have gone as far as to tell me I can't park my bike (650 nighthawk or my 1800 vtx) at work because this is an american plant and they don't want any "junk" in the lot. Let me tell you, my VTX will blow their Harleys away any day. Sorry, I just had to vent. Thanks for allowing me the forum to do it.
