Every Wednesday at the Quaker Stake and Lube here in Council Bluffs they have a bike night. It's a pretty big deal, with an band and all. Someone told me there were over 1600 bikes on the lots parked by the police. I viewed pretty much all the bikes parked. I looked them all over. Mine was the only Nighthawk, and there were no ST's, ...one BMW sport touring. There were some Shadows, and Goldwings and good showing of Sport bikes. The vast majority however were Harley's or Harley style bikes. What I noticed in the group, but not all, were the new Harley/business type Harley guys dominated the gathering. Three points: 1, They look sharp in their leather and all, but they are not the Harley guys of old. That has to tick them off the old guard. 2, Boats are out, and bikes are definitely in. And 3, It was very peaceful, and non-conformity has now conformed. Ron
