Easy reason -- to be able to afford a Harley, you have to be a lawyer,
banker or stockbroker (playing wannabe bad boy as a hobby) (!)

It's all about conspicuous consumption of bright, shiny toys.  I'm
betting you'd not find many high mileage bikes in the bunch.
