Something I've been wondering for a while. When I ride my '92 NH750 on a cold
start, I get clicking for the first mile or so. My guess is that the hydraulic
lifters are filling with oil and at 120K miles, that process is a bit slow. (As
I age, my wake-up process gets slower too.) I ride easy until it goes away, no
more than 4K RPM, and after that, the bike runs as well as always, with good
power, 40-50 MPG and low oil use. Question is, am I doing any harm to the
engine? Thanks.
