Please consider that the “recommendations” but so that the manufacturers recommendations are not designed to provide maximum utility and use of the product by the purchaser, but rather to provide maximum legal protection to the manufacturer. Those weight limits are arbitrary and not absolute. One must assume the benefits and risks of living!
Many years ago, a town I lived in passed a law that made it illegal to wear high heeled shoes in the winter. They actually did not care what footwear anyone wore, and the real reason was to prevent a lawsuit from a fall on an ice covered city street while wearing “illegal” footwear.
