i recomend replacing the chain and sprockets toghether. most shade tree
shops will press in a rivit type link for a few dollars if you bring the
bike to them ready to press in, but i have always had great luck with clip
types (but i LOVE my shaft drive now and dont think i could ever go back)

i recall paying about 30 for the chain on my 250, but i wasent worried to
much about it, my burry spend 60 on his chain for the shadow 600, and was
very happy with that
