I have two issues, actually. The bike is an '85 CB650SC Nighthawk. I recently
acquired a nail in the rear tire so I went about putting on a new one. After
this process my gauge light for the tail light is lit (red) and the light does
not come on unless I depress the brake. Any idea what I did? I did have the 4
screws securing the rear body undone--could I be pinching a wire to cause this?
The second issue is a bit stranger. My starter took a dive so I replaced it
along with the solenoid and fuses. The bike starts great but when I fully
depress the clutch, the bike goes to neutral. So if I'm in 5th and squeeze the
clutch I go directly to neutral. Even stranger is that when I only depress the
clutch half way, it goes back to that gear. I can cycle through gears normally
but only when the clutch is halfway in. The second I squeeze all the way, I'm
in neutral. What the hell is going on?!
